Patrick Lemmen of the Stichting Polvo Jeugdkampen (Polvo Youth Camps Foundation) received a municipal Volunteers award on Monday.
He has been active in youth camps for about 35 years. Thirty of these have been as a group leader. Apart from his activities as a volunteer, he also does maintenance, sponsoring, and repairs at the foundation.
The Polvo Youth Camps Foundation has been hosting youth camps for children between seven and twelve years of age since 1955. Over the weekends and in school holidays, they organise activities in the woods of Eindhoven and surrounding areas.
