Demolition of parking garage Eindhoven Airport started

Construction company BAM has started the demolition of the parking garage at Eindhoven Airport.

The demolition work takes two to three months. The plan is to start constructing a new parking garage in early April. It should be ready mid next year. Who is paying for the costs is not clear yet.

In May last year, part of the parking garage collapsed at the airport, two weeks before completion.

The cause was a construction error in the floors. After the collapse of the garage, buildings with such a floor construction were inspected all over the country. How many of such buildings are in Eindhoven is not yet clear.
