Business as usual at Eindhoven primary schools

No lessons are cancelled at Eindhoven’s primary schools today, despite the winter weather.

That’s what umbrella organizations SKPO and Salto state. None of the dozens of schools covered by these two organizations has requested for lessons to be cancelled or finish earlier than usual.

Peter Tijs of SKPO:’ Many parents and children just walk to school. This morning the snow wasn’t as bad. This afternoon, it is not expected to snow that much.’

However, lessons at the Augustinianum in Eindhoven will end sooner than usual. The secondary school will stop all lessons after noon. ‘Due to the extreme weather conditions and the code orange warning issued, we decided to cancel all activities after 12.10 hours today,’ the school reports.

Throughout the Netherlands, various primary and secondary schools have closed.
