Mansion closed down for a year after drugs lab discovered

'Bulgarian-Romanian' window cleaners harass Woensel-Noord

Eindhoven’s Mayor Jorritsma closed down a mansion yesterday, with immediate effect. The house in Medoclaan will remain shut for at least a year. A marijuana nursery and remnants of a drugs lab were found there on Wednesday.

The Bestuurlijk Intervetieteam Eindhoven or BITE (Eindhoven’s Administrative Intervention Team) did a raid on the mansion after complaints from other neighbouring residents. The team, consisting of members of the police, fire brigade and council, discovered the marijuana nursery. Remnants of a drugs lab were also found and there were signs of electricity theft.

The drugs lab was no longer in use, but according to police,  tens of thousands of hard drug pills were produced at the facility. Also (criminal) biker gang-related paraphanalia were found.

The villa gained national notoriety last year when two rival motorcycle gangs, No Surrender and Saturadah,  had a shootout there. Several gang members were arrested and convicted for the incident. Images captured of the shooting were shown on television in order to apprehend the culprits.
