Smart baby blanket soon available to parents at home

A blanket that mimics a heartbeat and retains smells will soon available for home use. The start-up company from Eindhoven that produces the blanket has set up a crowd-funding action in order to achieve this.

At the moment, the company only produces the blanket for hospitals. By retaining the smell and mimic the heartbeat of the parents, babies think their parents are always present.

Hugsy has now set up crowd-funding to raise money. Sylvie Claes, CEO and designer of Hugsy explains, “After our first investment round, we worked very hard to ready the blanket production. For us it is an important step in contributing to the healthy bonding of parent and child.”
