A 79-year-old man was injured this weekend after being robbed of his wallet. The incident happened at the Stationsplein in Eindhoven, on Saturday evening. A suspect has been arrested.
The victim had parked his car and was standing at the parking and ticket machines of the car park. There a man approached him and managed to grab the victim’s wallet. The robber then hit the victim hard on the back of his head. This caused the old man to crash to the ground.
The victim suffered injuries to his head and lower body. He was taken to hospital and had to remain there overnight for observation.
Shortly after the incident, police arrested a 35-year-old person from Eindhoven suspected of being
involved in the crime. He remains under arrest. Police have started an investigation and are now looking
for witnesses.
