24-hour relay race raises EUR 70 000

A 24-hour relay race in Meerhoven, Eindhoven’s new development, raised EUR 70 000 this weekend. The money will be donated to the Make-a-Wish Foundation, which ensures seriously ill children see one of their wishes fulfilled.

Hundreds of runners participated in this eighth edition. The course went straight through the new development. Participants could choose different distances: the 24-hour walk, 5 km, 10 km, 15 km, a kids’ run, or the Light-Up Run.

Stalls lined the course, while other activities also took place.
