VDL expects annual turnover of 5 billion euros

The VDL Group expects their turnover for the year to stand on five billion euros. According to this company, which is based in Eindhoven, they have more than enough orders in the pipeline. Their profit margin is also higher than 2016, which was a record year for them.

VDL has managed to reach their projected growth margin for the first half of 2017. In the first six months of the year, the turnover has already been 2,4 billion euros. This is up 50 percent compared to the first half of 2016. Their profit is also growing rapidly and the number of employees has increased from almost 12 000 a year ago to almost 15 600 at the moment.

These good results are thanks to, among other things, the expansion of the automotive plant in Born. Here there has been an increase of production of models BMW, such as the Mini Countryman. The bus division is also faring well with the production of, for example, electric buses.
