More than half of Eindhoven residents work in the city

More than half of Eindhoven’s population works within the city limits, with residents averaging a 22.5km commute to the office.

Those employed in Geldrop-Mierlo travel the furthest, with an average of 23.4km. However, only 21% of the village’s residents also work there, according to CBS figures from 2015.

In Nuenen, Gerwen en Nederwetten, 17% of residents are employed within their own municipalities, and travel an average of only 20.6km to work.
