Chairman of Lumens Board of Directors to step down

Jos van Nunen has announced his departure from social organization Lumens. The Chairman of the Board of Directors will make way for his successor.

On 1 september the Board Chairman will step down after 7.5 years. In 2010 he became member of the Board of Directors before taking up presidency in 2012. Under his leadership a new strategy within Lumes was formulated.

One of these changes is that Lumens, a welfare organization, will no longer offer traditional assistance. Coaching is the new norm, so that residents and young people can take back control over their lives.

“Of course a job like this is never done and I still see many opportunities and possibilities for Lumens. We are an organization with future perspective. It is my job to look for new challenges and transitions”, Van Nunen says.

Gert Cazemier immediately has been appointed as interim Director. The contributors, client Board and Supervisory Board will search for a new President.
