Kids Brighten Up Empty Houses In Woensel West

People are finding aliens in the streets around Celsiusplein in Eindhoven. Neighbourhood children from Woensel West have been creating wall art to brighten up houses in the area that are going to be demolished.

The children have used the artwork to convert houses in Stephsonstraat into a real alien studio. The initiative is a collaboration between Dynamo Youth Work, the Woensel West Neighbouhood Project en the Eindhoven Centre of the Arts.

“A street standing empty like this, has a bit of an alien feeling to it, which is why we chose this theme”, says Astrid van Mierlo of Dynamo. “Now it looks a bit nicer before the buildings get demolished.”
