City centre ‘Blob’ gets some TLC

The so-called ‘Blob’ in Eindhoven’s city centre is being thoroughly cleaned and covered with a new protective layer.

Local cleaning company Bakermans has brought in lifts and specialised equipment to clean the building, which was polluted by exhaust fumes and other city debris.

Cleaning is expected to take a few weeks to complete, after which the Blob will be cleaned every six weeks. The protective layer will make future cleaning efforts easier.

Bakermans was previously tasked with cleaning the Evoluon building in 1996.
