GroenLinks concerned about carnaval litter inn Geldrop-Mierlo

GroenLinks is concerned about the litter left after carnaval. The group wants the Geldrop-Mierlo municipality, just as in Eindhoven for example, should send people to clear the litter directly after the parade.

In GroenLinks’ opinion, all the confetti, streamers and paper that is only cleaned days later can spread into the surrounding countryside. The party wants the Geldrop-Mierlo town council to tell them what the possible costs will be if the litter is cleaned up directly after the parade. They also want to know who would be responsible for this.

GroenLinks, however, already knows how it pay for the large carnaval cleanup in Geldrop-Mierlo: The town council’s carnaval song should not produced next year. The party had critical questions about the recording of the carnaval song, ‘Verbonden’.

GroenLinks wants to know what the costs of the recording is and where the funds come from if the community pays for it. They also want to know how many copies of the CD were made.

The party states that the costs involved on the carnaval song can be better spend on the cleanup of the community after carnaval.
