Winter Emergency regulations for the homeless starting Thursday

Winter emergency regulations for the homeless will be in effect this Thursday. Homeless people are actively contacted during periods of moderate frost to make use of the reception facilities in the city.

The emergency measures go in effect during a (real feel) temperature of -5 degrees Celsius. This standard is set by the KNMI (Dutch meteorological institute).

Homeless people are directed to the Nachtopvang ‘t Eindje  on the Mathildelaan for shelter. If ‘t Eindje is full, welfare organisation Neos has places available as well.

The winter emergency regulations for the homeless will stay in effect until at least Sunday.
