Visitor data DDW made public by accident

Data of many visitors of the Eindhoven Dutch Design Week have been made public by accident. This occurred through a mistake from Ticketscript, the company that arranges the ticket sales for events, as tv programme Opgelicht Cybercrime (Ripped of Cybercrime) announces.

The data should not have been misused by criminals, Ticketscript says. Among others the visitors of the Amsterdam Dance Event and dj Martin Garrix have been affected.

One database of Ticketscript is unsafe. In it are featured the names, email addresses and phone numbers of people who bought a ticket through the company.

Ticketscript says to have stopped the leak in the mean time.
