Christmas for all

In St. Catherina Church, Eindhoven, cook Merlin Amaro prepared a Christmas dinner for charity on 26 December.

With the help of two other cooks from Amaro Creative Industries and nine volunteers he prepared Christmas dinner for the lonely and needy persons who visited Catherina Open House on ‘Tweede Kerstdag’ (Boxing Day).

In North Europe the Boxing Day (Tweede Kerstdag in Netherlands) which follows the Christmas day is also officially another festival day. In the Roman Catholic tradition, December 26 is the feast of St. Stephen and Boxing Day. The Boxing Day means opening a Christmas box for the poor.
