Royal Marshals (Marechaussee) Airport arrest Greek suspect for drug smuggling

The Royal Marshals have arrested a man on suspicion of drug trafficking and money laundering at Eindhoven Airport. That happened in late October, but has been made public only now.

The Greek man had a bag with him, in which he hid more than 5,000 ecstasy pills. He wanted to fly to Malta. At the security check, he was caught. Also two co-suspects, a woman from Horn and a man from Amsterdam were arrested.

That same day, the police investigation led to a home that was probably used to organize drug trafficking. There they found a weapon, an imitation weapon and different amounts of hard and soft drugs.

The woman has since been released but remains a suspect in the case, the two men are still in custody.
