Fusion or cooperation NEOS and SMO

NEOS in Eindhoven and SMO in Helmond are possibly merging into one large institution providing social (community) care. If a fusion is out of the question, the organisations are willing to cooperate more.

It’s a fact that both parties want to join forces. The surveillance council of the institutions now would like to research the advantages and disadvantages of a fusion.

The aid organisations are already cooperating on the approach of domestic violence. Both institutions are represented in the ‘Veiligheidshuis’ (network of organisations dealing with complex situations of violence).

The arrangements are to remain in Eindhoven as well as in Helmond.

When it will become clear if there will be a fusion or a cooperation, is however not yet known.
