Bicycle tour for good cause ALS

Cyclists will be cycling through the region tonight to collect funds for more well needed research into amyotrophic lateral sclerosis, a progressive neurodegenerative disease that affects nerve cells in the brain and the spinal cord, commonly known as ALS. The evening cycling tour starts and finishes at Eindhoven Ateliek.

The tour has been initiated by Foundation, Stichting Ledro4Life, whose mission it is to end the disease ALS. The cycling tour is a 25-kilometre tour and will be routed through amongst other areas, the green area of Koudenhoven, De Bochten and Nuenen.

This is the first edition of ´ALS het licht uit gaat´ (When the light goes off, ALS the disease is also the name for when in Dutch). The tour will be kicked off by ALS patient Jan Zuring, who resides in Nuenen.
