17 Million for Brabant high tech industry

Brabant province wants to invest 17.5 million euros in the Brabant high tech innovative industry in the next four years.

This was proposed by the Executive Council. In the coming months the Provincial Council will decide on the implementation of the proposals.

Suppliers, large manufacturing companies and research institutions should cooperate more intensively to induce faster innovation.

The majority of this amount (11 million) will go to the “factory of the future”, which will soon be built near Eindhoven Airport. 4 Million will serve as risk cover for the real estate of the “Brainport Industries Campus”.

The province is also providing a loan of two million euros to boost the packaging and testing of integrated photonics.

It is the province’s intention that over time, 75 companies and six universities on this campus will work together to renew the manufacturing industry.
