Sport apps with a personal touch at TU/e

A new professor has started his tenure at the TU/e, and he will be focusing his attention on improving the health of the general population, by means of apps.

Sport apps are focused too much on improving performance and too little on the general health of the person, according to professor Vos. Therefore Professor Vos would like apps to have a more personal approach, with a personal profile and a training program tailored to the particular individual.

Vos has been appointed as professor Design and Analysis of Intelligent Systems for Leisure Time Sports and Vitality. He will be conducting research in to the use of technology to encourage sport and exercise.

Professor Vos will start his tenure on Friday October 7 at the TU/e.
