Green light for innovative Brainport Campus at Landelijk Strijp

The construction of a new campus with innovative, high tech manufacturing companies at Landelijk Strijp can commence. The highest administrative court rejected all objections against Brainport Industries Campus.

According to the judge, the campus is of great strategic importance for the economy of the Brainport region, and is also important for employment.

Dozens of manufacturing companies will be built on the campus, which, among other things, are suppliers for ASML and Philips. The companies will share not only knowledge, but also locations and services. This should lead to better solutions and innovations. The Eindhoven company KMWE is the first that will be established there.

The objections to the campus came mainly from Best, Veldhoven and Eindhoven. They all fear that there will be more vacancies at existing business parks once the campus is built.

The first companies will be able to move to the campus in 2017. It is located close to Eindhoven Airport, the A2, and the Beatrix Canal. The area will be the size of about 400 football fields.
