Catharinaplein finally finished

Catharinaplein

It costed nearly two million euro, the trees have been replaced three times, and the paving had to be redone more than once.

But after three years of repeatedly rebuilding, the Catharinaplein (square) in the downtown area is finally finished. The newest trees are so-called nettle trees (Celtis) that are suitable for our local climate, and the durable yellow paving has been put in this week.

The people of the city can now if they wish. sit on the square reading a newspaper in the sun and enjoy the scenery.
