Royal Marshals (Marechaussee) Airport arrest Greek suspect for drug smuggling

A sixty-one-year-old man was apprehended, while carrying 11,000 Euros on his person, at Eindhoven Airport, last Saturday.

According to a statement, issued by de Koninklijke Marechaussee,The Royal Netherlands Military Constabulary, today, the money was discovered during a security check. Since the man could not clarify why he was carrying such a large amount of cash, he was apprehended on suspicion of money laundering.

During the security check, it was also discovered that the man still had a pending prison sentence of more than two years to serve. He was planning to travel to Spain, instead, he is now incarcerated and the money has been confiscated by the authorities.
