International book month for expats at Van Piere

Bookstore Van Piere is organizing in July the first International Book Month especially for expats and international students. It is the first event of its kind in the Netherlands.

The bookstore wants to give extra attention to international books, since there are so many foreign students and expatriates living in Eindhoven.

The event will be a variation of the Dutch Book Week, with international guests and a boekenweekgeschenk (Book Week Gift). With the purchase of 12,50 euro of english books the customer get ‘How much land does a man need’ by Leo Tolstoy as a gift.

About Tolstoy’s How much land does a man need:
‘Although he feared death, he could not stop. ‘If I stopped now, after coming all this way – well, they’d call me an idiot!’
A pair of short stories about greed, charity, life and death from one of Russia’s most influential writers and thinkers.
