Children’s Pret (fun) festival 23 – 31 July

The Pretfestival for children is taking place from 23 to 31 July 2016 in the IJssportcentrum Eindhoven.

Pret means fun. And this is what this family festival is all about. This year it runs for more than a week from 23 to 31 July at the IJssportcentrum in Eindhoven and it’s the perfect way to kick off the summer school holidays.

Aimed at kids between 3 and 12 years, and with 4000m2 of outdoor activities and a further 5000m2 indoors, it’s sure to keep the boredom bugs at bay. There are a ton of fun and active things to do, from splashing in the swimming pools to bouncing on the jumping castles. Or how about having a giant pillow fight? Or zooming around on go-carts? They can have some fun playing some traditional Dutch games, or make some new friends on the football fields.

And if they’re feeling creative, then head to the building corner or the craft corner and make something special. And of course there’s plenty of time for face painting.

Maybe your kids fancy learning some circus skills? Then the circus tent run by Kindercircus SimSalaBim is the place to be. The whole family can also enjoy performances by Sim Sala Bim at the weekends. Woensels Muziek Corpswill also be there on Wednesday if the kids are interested in trying out the flute, clarinet, trombone or tuba.
You can bring your own food and drinks (no alcohol for the adults!), but refreshments are also available at the festival.

So if you’re looking for a place for the kids to run, jump, play, have fun and burn off some energy, head on over to PRET.

The opening times are from 11:00-17:00. The ice centre is at Anton Coolenlaan 3, Eindhoven. The entrance fees are €1 for 0-2 year-olds, €6 for 3-12 year-olds and €3 for adults. Tip: bring swimming gear and a picnic rug.
