Tongelreep yet again on the political agenda

The debate on whether to close wave pool De Tongelreep is yet again placed on the political agenda. The issue will again be debated during a commission meeting of the local council.

Since the departure of Alderman Bianca van Kaathoven, the matter has not been acted upon. Her replacement Jakob Wedemeijer will not be given the responsibility for the difficult topic: Wedemeijer will likely be installed as alderman on Tuesday May 31, and thus this will be after the topic has been decided upon.

Predecessor Alderman Van Kaathoven was of the opinion that the wave pool De Tongelreep should be closed. But this opinion encountered a lot of resistance.
