Philips Lighting to Amsterdam Stock Exchange

The independant branch of Philips, the Lighting Division, will go to the Amsterdam Stock Exchange, as was announced by electronics company on Tuesday.

Philips began in 1891 with the production of light bulbs. But the company now wants to completely focus on health technology, and is now separating the light division. This will become an independant company, which will go public on the stock exchange.

Headquarters of Philips Lighting is in Eindhoven. Last year it had a turnover of 7.5 billion, led by Eric Rondolat.
