‘Investigation of coin throwers in Madrid at a standstill’

Accroding to ED (Eindhoven Daily Newspaper), the investigation of the coin throwers in Madrid, is at a standstill. The Madrid police is waiting to receive an id on the supporters from their Dutch colleagues.

However, the Dutch Public Prosecutor’s Department, claims that no such official request has been done by their Spanish Colleagues. As long as the Dutch Public Prosecutor’s Department do not receive an official request, the investigation will remain at a standstill.

The incident in Madrid involved a group of PSV supporters, who had thrown coins at beggars and tramps, at a square in Madrid, while the Eindhoven club played there in the Eighth Finals of the Champions League. The Spanish police want those supporters punished for violating the dignity of the victims.

The PSV club was already busy identifying the group involved, whereby one person, during the incident, had also burnt a banknote. The supporters were officially forbidden from entering the PSV Stadium. There are still a few people who have not been identified.
