Even more hapspots in Eindhoven

Eindhoven is 14 new hapspots the richer. There are now a total of 25 happiness spots. The spots were revealed today by the inventor of the concept, the Belgian happy ambassador Leo Bormans, on the grounds of de Grote Beek.

Bormans is the author of ‘The World Book of Happiness’. The book is a collection of scientific insights about happiness of 100 professors from 50 countries. During the unveiling of the spots Bormans revealed his secret for happiness: "You only become happy if you do something".

"At every hapspot there will be three tips, and if you follow the advice, you will be a 100 grams happier". He also advices caution, you should only visit one or maximum two hapspots in a day. And not to visit all 25 spots in one day!
The spots are a result of research by Parktheater and students from Fontys Hogeschool HRM and Psychology in collaboration with Bormans. Last year the first eleven Eindhoven happiness spots were revealed.

Information about the happy spots have been published in a booklet which will be available from Thursday at de VVV Brandstore (Tourist information desk) at het Stationsplein. Notices have also been placed at the happiness spots with an explanation and tips. The happiness spots are a gift from Fontys and het Parktheater to all residents and visitors to the city of Eindhoven.
