Restored kiosk Henri Dunant Park provides better neighbourhood

The restored kiosk at the Henri Dunant park in Eindhoven ensures a better living climate in Eindhoven North. “Thanks to Cement Woensel North, a facility from not being used, and possibly prey for demolition, has been transformed into a meeting place for the neighborhood.” This can be read on the website of the municipality.

The kiosk is located on a beautiful spot near the pond in the park in Woensel-Noord, but the neighbourhoods around the park paid no attention to the ram shackled place.

The kiosk was lost and abandoned four years ago. That’s why the kiosk is completely renewed. Even a kitchen and a toilet are built inside to be used by the neighborhood. Yet still it did not work. Argument for ‘Cement Woensel-Noord’ to intervene. They now organize various activities for the neighbourhood.

Spring was kicked off with a pizza lunch for the youngsters.
There are walk-in hours with coffee and creative workshops. Wendy Booijen of Cement Woensel-Noord is happy with the improvement.

"We also have a dog trainer now who serves training at the kiosk on Sunday. After a successful winter soup a sequel was inevitable: after the pizza afternoon a big barbecue is planned soon."
