The older unemployed person will be the centre of attention at de Koningshof hotel in Veldhoven on April 12, 2016, starting at 13:15. Persons of 50 years and older can participate in workshops to increase their chances to find a job and at the same time they will be given the opportunity to network with the over 200 employers.
The day of inspiration at de Koningshof hotel is an initiative of het UWV (Employee Insurance Agency). By way of this special day, the national employment and benefits agency is aiming to assist older job seekers persons in finding employment. Almost half of all persons claiming unemployment benefits are over 50 years of age.
Besides the workshops for this group of unemployed persons and meet-up with potential employers, there will also be an information centre. At the end of the official program, the unemployed will have the chance to speak to various employers, in a more informal manner. A total of 650 job seekers, selected by the UWV, are expected to attend the day.
