60,000 people celebrate King’s Day in Eindhoven

About 60,000 people celebrated King’s Day in Eindhoven. That is half as much as last year, when there were about 150,000 people in the city. Probably the bad weather was part cause.

It was quiet in the city and the emergency services have not been very busy. Fourteen people have been arrested because they had no identification on them, for abuse or small fights. Fourteen people needed medical care. Most were alcohol and drug related.

The fire service had to interrupt a party in a dorm however. More than 200 people had come, making security no longer guaranteed.
