ASML opens a huge international company restaurant today. The restaurant covers around 4,000 square metres, and contains 6 cooking islands, lounge areas and meeting places.
There has been considerable refurbishing work done recently at the Veldhoven manufacturer of microchip machines, in order to realise ASML Plaza.
The restaurant is designed to suit the current way of working, with large numbers of flexible workplaces. In addition, the wide variety of cuisines is intended to reflect the wide variety of backgrounds of the personnel. The cooking islands represent, among other, Italian, Dutch and Asian cuisines.
There are around 8,000 employees at ASML in Veldhoven, representing almost ninety nationalities.
