Philips joins US startup in healthcare platform launch

Dutch conglomerate Philips has joined forces with US startup Validic to offer a digital platform providing connected health services.

Using data gathered from smart devices and mobile apps, the platform will enable consumers to make confident health and lifestyle-related decisions and facilitate new healthcare services.

The partnership is an opportunity for Philips to boost the breadth and depth of its current healthcare solutions.

Through its collaboration with Philips, Validic will also acquire data from other brands to help develop new and improved equipment.

Validic’s platform has already reached more than 220 million people in 47 countries.
