Alderman Torunoglu to become ‘spider in the web’

Alderman Torunoglu will literally become a ‘spider in the web’, this Saturday 20 February, with the opening of community centre Bellefort.

Residents and volunteers will spin a web around the alderman in order to make a visual display, symbolizing that together they want to make the community centre the beating heart of the neighbourhood.

During the official opening of the community centre, at the Iepenlaan 40 in Philipsdorp, Strijp, the alderman will cut the web, to signal the starting point for residents and volunteers to maximize their use of the community centre. Bellefort will be organizing workshops and activities.

The open day will last from 10:00 until 15:00 and several activities have been planned for both young and old. There will be, amongst others, handicrafts, soup making, aquarelle painting for children and adults, music, a high tea as well as a lottery. Entrance is free.
