Swimmingpool Tongelreep is going to invest heavily in an even more scientific pool in the InnoSportLab, the training pool of the swimming center.
Dozens of cameras will be hung in the ‘meet street’ of the bath to record every movement of the swimmers. As a result talents are better monitored physically, mentally and technically. The level and the development of swimmers can also be mapped by the measuring equipment.
The so called Talent Identification is held three times a year, with various training centres participating. The participants swim several swimming tracks. Various measurements are taken during eg start and turning point. But also the glide phase in the water and jump height of the swimmers is watched.
