Mayors plea for intercity line between Eindhoven – Dusseldorf

According to the Mayors of Eindhoven, Dusseldorf, Venlo and Mönchengladbach, there is a need for an intercity train service between Eindhoven and Dusseldorf and this should be operational as soon as possible.

They emphasize the economic importance. According to city officials a good intercity line between Randstad (west of the Netherlands), Brabant and the German state of North Rhine – Westphalia is badly needed.

The business community in the region of Eindhoven, and the provinces of North Brabant, Limburg and South Holland are behind the call of the mayors. Tomorrow, the mayors will give a presentation of their ideas and plans.
