50.000 euro for refurbishment Standerdmolen in Mierlo

The municipality of Geldrop-Mierlo reserves 50.000 euro to restore the Standerdmolen in Mierlo to its former glory.

The lower part will be closed in order to create storage space, but also to ensure that youth loitering are no longer a nuisance.

The mill has only been open at the bottom since 1992. Previously, it was closed for 350 years. Part of the renovation are also fire safety, water supply and potential sale of flour.

The mill is a landmark and open to the public every Saturday. The millers therefore hope that the renovations will be done by the end of this year.
