PSV has retained a chance to remain in the last 16 in the Champions League. PSV held out against the Manchester United team lead by coach Van Gaal at 0-0. It was the single point needed to retain a chance for PSV.
There were no goals in the match but the contest was exciting. Especially in the first half, when United were by far the better of the two.
The second half gave PSV a few chances, and Manchester United had much more to fear. Phillip Cocu’s team narrowly missed the goal that would have ensured a win.
The draw is a good starting position for PSV. A win in the final group game against CSKA to be played at their home ground will allow PSV to qualify for the next round of the Champions League.
