March in Eindhoven after terrorist attacks Paris

Eleven Brainport Schools put their signature

A special march, in solidarity with the attacks in Paris, will be organized in Eindhoven next week. This was announced by the organizers, the foundation Friends of Peace and Friendship.

With this march, the foundation want to show their compassion with all the victims and bereaved. It is also an expression of solidarity with those who, directly or indirectly, have experienced terrorist violence. This also applies to refugees who are now seeking a safe haven in Europe, says Sjoerd Slaaf of the foundation.

He expects that about one thousand people will join the march on 22 November. Eindhoven city councillors and various social organizations have already agreed to take part. The Mayor and Aldermen have embraced the idea and the police have been informed, so that they can ensure order and safety next Sunday.

Anyone can walk along on 22 November. Tomorrow morning, there will be a foretaste of the march at Stadhuisplein. The foundation is going to roll out a large canvas there to express their solidarity.
