Four thousand children and their parents welcomed Sinterklaas (Saint Nicholas) at Kanaaldijk-Noord this afternoon. Sinterklaas and his Petes/helpers arrived by boat.

The Saint was greeted at the canal by Mayor Van Gijzel. The Petes were tinted dark brown.

After his arrival, the Saint mounted his horse for a tour through the city. Eventually, he arrived at 18 Septemberplein, where a big party with a gingerbread concert was awaiting him.

The Foundation ‘Intocht (Arrival) Sinterklaas’ had organized the event, together with city marketing agency Eindhoven365.
