Eindhoven sees rapid economic growth

Eindhoven is one of the fastest growing regions in the Netherlands, according to figures from the Rabobank.

Growth in the south-east Brabant area will reach 3% next year, a quarter percent higher than the national average. This is partly due to strong performance in the technology sector.

Besides Eindhoven, the Rabobank highlighted rapid economic growth in Amsterdam and south-west Gelderland.

Six weeks ago, ING bank also predicted a good year for the Brainport region, citing growth of over 3%. According to ING, businesses in south-east Brabant can also anticipate change.

High-tech companies scored well, with products such as chips, chip machines, sensors, and 3D printing which, according to the ING, benefits entrepreneurs in construction, retail, and hospitality in particular.
