Cocu: Graafschap shouldn’t be underestimated

De Graafschap may well be at the bottom of the ranking, but head coach Phillip Cocu still suspects that his team could have some real trouble with the Doetinchem team.

De Graafschap may well be at the bottom of the ranking, but head coach Phillip Cocu still suspects that his team could have some real trouble with the Doetinchem team.

The trainer expects it to be an animated duel. "De Graafschap will make it hard for the opposition’s defence and play an opportunistic game," Cocu believes, "and given their position in the ranking, that’s the logical way to go."

He isn’t prepared to look further ahead than this Saturday. On Tuesday, the Champions League match against Wolfsburg is on the agenda, but Phillip Cocu was unwilling to go into that yet. "We can’t afford the luxury of thinking a match ahead. First, we have to perform on Saturday."

The match against de Graafschap kicks off at 8.45 p.m.
