Shopping malls Winkelcentrum Woensel and Limburglaan have been nominated for the title of ‘Cleanest Dutch Shopping Mall’.

The other nominees include the Kijkduin Promenade in The Hague, Winkelcentrum Brandevoort in Helmond and the Miro Center in Enschede.

The election is an initiative of the ‘Stichting Nederland Schoon’ (Netherlands Clean Foundation). More than 500 Dutch shopping areas have been investigated on the basis of surveys among visitors and the findings of special inspection teams.

By means of this election the organizer wants to involve more entrepreneurs in managing their shopping areas better. Eventually, the foundation aims to decrease litter in the Netherlands.

The winner will be announced on 6 November.
