Vestdijktunnel closure creates confusion

The Vestdijktunnel near Eindhoven’s Central Station has been closed since Monday, creating confusion among motorists.

The parking lot next to the station is still accessible, meaning the tunnel remains partially open. Despite large signs indicating the closure, some drivers are entering the tunnel to find it blocked.

The tunnel is closed while the sewer system is repaired and parts of the asphalt replaced. The statues on the bridge will also be restored.

The Vestdijktunnel will reopen from Saturday, November 7th.
