PSV test innovative LED lighting in Philips Stadium

When PSV play host to Excelsior tomorrow night, the floodlight system will be in operation for the first time. It will be presented to the crowd fifteen minutes ahead of the kick-off as part of a special light show.

The PSV stadium is the first top-level stadium in the Netherlands to feature LED lighting. It is the first Dutch lighting system to meet the stringent requirements of international sports federations and television stations, PSV reports.

Specific parts of the field can be highlighted during football matches or other events at the stadium. As a result, the smallest gestures and emotions will be visible to visitors of the stadium and television viewers at home.
