Police arrested an individual of Romanian descent at Eindhoven Airport last Friday, in connection with a string of robberies throughout the Netherlands.
The suspect and his accomplice are accused of pickpocketing in Apeldoorn, Arnhem, Meppel, and Bolswaard, focusing on elderly ladies. Police successfully linked the cases and were able to trace one suspect to Eindhoven through his vehicle’s registration plate.
The 52 year old Romanian was apprehended Friday while attempting to board a flight leaving Eindhoven airport. Police are still searching for the accomplice.
