Philips launches new health lab at High Tech Campus

It was announced this morning that Philips plans to open a health laboratory at the High Tech Campus in Eindhoven

The centre will include a group of specialists, nurses, patients, care managers and experts who will work together. They would like to investigate whether health care can be delivered at lower costs and better quality, using design and software.

The new lab will examine the ways in which patients can continue to live at home longer. Philips thinks they can also utilize the expertise of other businesses at the High Tech Campus compound. Also they plan to include experts both from home and overseas.

The timeline for when the lab will be opened is not yet clear.
