New student’s e-sports club to enhance image gamers

The TU/e has a new e-sports club – The Eindhoven Student eSport Association Zephyr. ESEV Zephyr is designed for students with competitive spirit who like to play LAN games. This is reported by ‘Cursor’ on its site.

The founders of this association are Glen McLachlan and Jurjen Faber, second year Psychology and Technology students and Thijn Kolk, second year Industrial Design student. Their goal is to improve the image of gamers.

Their first event is a League of Legends tournament, the most played game in the world. The tournament begins November 9 at the participants’ homes. The final is on November 14 in the Gaslab. Here there is room for spectators.

There appears to be enough interest for this association. It is well advertised during the Intro (introduction week). The Facebook page has been liked by 177 people.
